The educational program "Electronic Communications and Internet of Things" is aimed at providing graduates with special knowledge on building next-generation communication networks (multiservice networks) and Internet of Things networks, which provide a full range of modern and promising services with flexible capabilities for their management, creating a universal multiprotocol transport network with distributed switching on the basis of soft switches (Soft Switch), as well as access networks that provide connection to the Internet of Things and the Internet of Things.

The "Electronic Communications and Internet of Things" educational program provides graduates with the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge on:The Institute of Telecommunication Systems is recruiting for the specialty 172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering under the educational program:

  • introduction and realization of convergence (interaction and unification) methods of electronic communications systems and the Internet of Things;
  • synthesis of modern multiservice networks and networks of the Internet of Things;
  • redesign and modernization of electronic communications systems and the Internet of Things.
  • control methods using appropriate protocols and interfaces of control systems of both telecommunication systems and networks and networks of the Internet of Things;
  • planning and design of photonic (fiber-optic) high-speed transport systems and networks;
  • peculiarities of organization of electronic communications systems and the Internet of Things during deployment and operation of cellular communication technologies of the 3rd (3G), 4th (4G), 5th (5G) generations;
  • planning of synchronization networks of telecom operators;
  • operation of technical means of electronic communications systems and the Internet of Things;
  • technical and cryptographic information protection technologies of electronic communications systems and the Internet of Things;
  • calculation of parameters of adaptive systems of electronic communications and the Internet of Things;
  • creation of virtual private networks (VPN) on the basis of MPLS technology;
  • establishment of inter-network interaction of telecommunication networks of different generations.

The educational program "Electronic Communications and Internet of Things" provides fundamental theoretical and applied training in the general program of the branch of knowledge "Electronics and Telecommunications", specialty "Telecommunications and Radio Engineering" at three levels of higher education: Bachelor, Master, Doctor of Philosophy.

Bachelor level provides acquisition of competences by graduates concerning theoretical bases of construction, installation, adjustment, control, diagnostics of the state of equipment and software of electronic communications systems and Internet of Things, information and telecommunication systems, TV and radio broadcasting networks, transmission systems, switching systems, access equipment and end-user devices.

Master's level provides acquisition of competences for improvement, design and implementation of new and innovative networks of electronic communications and Internet of Things for creation of architecture of networks and systems of the newest generations (NGN, FGN) in accordance with the requirements of the International Telecommunication Union and other institutions and realization of new info-communication services on the basis of this architecture.
